Or get the free shuttle at Bill's to the Gold Coast and just cross Valley View. You can take a cab to the Rio or you can walk to Bally's and take the free shuttle. LAS VEGAS (AP) MGM Resorts International, the largest employer on the Las Vegas Strip, was close to reaching a tentative deal with the hotel workers union, the casino company’s CEO said as the clock ticked closer to a union deadline for a sweeping strike. If you are in heels or all dressed up- take a cab. I wouldn't try to walk from MGM/Wynn unless you plan to take a leisurely stroll, dropping in and out of various casinos on the way. The Bellagio tram station leaves you off way in the back of the Bellagio. I don't think it would save a lot of time or walking because the tram stations are not that convenient and you have to walk to them. I would not bother with the tram connecting MC with the Bellagio. I consider MGM/Bellagio walkable with no problems. Plus- the strip really isn't "straight." For example, near Harrah's you have to take a small detour going through the the Carnaval Court area to continue walking south. Just getting in and out of them may take a while and once you are in them it may be a long walk to the restaurant, show or attraction you want to see. Many of the hotels/casinos (especially MGM) are huge. There are some things you do have to keep in mind. The Rio is off strip and you really shouldn't even try to walk it-it is not a pleasant walk. MGM to the Bellagio is a bit less than 1 mile.
